Riverbeats Live: The Main Event

Riverbeats 2009 kicked off to a great start on Saturday October 31^st, as thousands of people gathered in Church St and down by the river to take in the vibes and the grooves of Riverbeats Live. The Streets were packed around the restaurants stalls for “Eats B4 Riverbeats, and people took in the Chalk Art masterpieces, listened to bluesman Grant Walmsley and Country gal Chris E Thomas, and generally had a good time.

As the sun went down, and a big fat moon came up over the river, a night of great music enfolded the crowds along the riverbanks, while the giant globes brought us visions like strange planets in the nightsky.

A perfect night of warm weather, great local food, international master musicians and a happy, gentle atmosphere for everyone to share. Next week brings Loy Kra thong.
