Autumn Carp Fish Out

Come along and do your part, throw in a line and catch a Carp.
We invite you, your family and friends to join us on the riverbank to help clean up our River City and our precious waterways. You can try your luck at the Carp fishing contest or sit back and enjoy the free live music and entertainment. There are lots of food stalls, fishing demonstrations and information stalls to enjoy and the kids will be well entertained with a giant jumping castle, free face painting and great fun with the clown, Eddie Spaghetti. Plus loads of give-aways and fishing prizes to be won! Registration is free.
Fishing licence is required. 3 Day fishing license can be purchased on the day of the event at the DPI Fisheries information trailer. Licences will be available to purchase from 10am to 1pm.
Bring: A rod & reel, a few hooks, bait or lures, chair, hat, sunscreen
Fishing Times?
- 10.00am to 1.00pm (3 hours)
- 1.15pm to 3.30pm (2.15 hours)
Fishing licence is required, 3 Day fishing license can be purchased on the day of the event at the DPI Fisheries information trailer.
Each participant will be given either 3 hours or 2.15 hours (depending on the session) to catch a carp in an allocated and marked position on the course. Bring your own Bait and equipment. All carp caught are to be taken to the Weigh-in Marquee and your fish is recorded.
Prizes awarded at 1.00pm and 3.30pm.
Prizes are awarded in the following categories:
1. Longest Carp ( prize for adult and child under 16years old)
2. Heaviset Carp ( prize for adult and child under 16years old)
3. Most Carp caught ( prize for adult and child under 16years old)
Getting There?
The Autumn carp FishOut is located between the Lennox St and Wilde St Bridges the banks of the scenic Parramatta River in the heart of Parramatta City and within walking distance to parking and all major public transport.
Parking
Parking is available from 9am - 12am at Brandsmart Shopping Centre Carpark, (entry from Phillip St).

Parramatta River is approximately a 10 minute walk from Parramatta Train Station. Exit from Darcy Street, turn right into Church Street and follow it all the way to the river at Lennox Bridge.

Wheelchair access to the riverbank is via Sorrel Street.
